The ODBD challenge for June is to make a shaped card. I don't usually make shaped cards because the A2 cards are what OWH prefers but I have been thinking about a shaped card since I saw one made in the A Cut Above online class. I cut the base so it opens from the bottom and made sure I placed the die so most of the fold was left.
I used the Hero Arts stamps and added Glossy Accents to the stamped hearts. I used the distress ink called Peacock Feathers to distress the edges and to stamp the sentiment and the hearts. The button is punched with a MS button punch and I added some Pearl Pen around the heart that was cut out the same time I cut the card.
Beautiful blue! Love the flowered heart. Thanks for playing the ODBD challenge!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking at that button punch a lot lately in the craft store... Trying to convince myself that I don't need it. You are certainly not helping. :) I love it! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the shaped card challenge. Love the ribbon you used.
ReplyDeleteI like how you used patterned paper for the big heart and matching button, but kept the other hearts simple. Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteNice job! The floral heart definitely grabs the eye and it's so nice how you added the details of the dots around it. Thanks for helping us reach our goal on the ODBD June Challenge!
