Clean & Simple Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog.  This is my first time to join in a blog hop and I am thrilled to be able to share my card with you.  I started making cards in Oct. 2009 for OWH and then my youngest son joined the Army in Dec. 2009 during his senior yr. in high school so I have an added incentive to make cards for our heroes.
I loved the card that was done in class with the distress inks and 3 squares with butterflies.  I didn't have any distress inks with me when I did this card at my friend's house so I used chalks.  Hope you like it.  I have some I will try with the distress inks and Perfect Pearls when I get back from my trip.

    So cute! I think using chalks gives a whole different look than the distress inks- looks like you made a new technique!

    very nice card - I forget about using chalks also - gives it such a soft look - sometimes I even use chalks to "ink" the edges of my paper - chalk the edges of my paper.

    Love the effects the chalks provided. Haven't tried Distress inks yet myself so that would also be fun to try. Your little kitties look so cute al chalked up! What a fun blog skip this is so far, Beth!

    Adorable card using the chalks. I like them too for soft backgrounds... use pastels actually but have to rub a lot of the dust residue off before sending to OWH.
