Wow what a technique!! That is such a cool effect - awesome job, Beth!
ReplyDeleteThat soot technique sure is powerful! Especially today, the soot reminds me of the fallen towers. We actually have some of the girders from the Towers installed in our town's memorial here in Ohio. Very, very powerful!
ReplyDeleteNever heard of soot from a lamp but it does give it a cool effect.

ReplyDeleteFor anyone wanting to replicate the soot process, check out StampTV for a video. Gina K just reposted it yesterday!! It was a "moldy oldy" from 4 or 5 years ago. I've always found the results stunning, but forget to do it. Your cards are great examples of it and I'm sure a hero will be impressed by the look.

ReplyDeleteOH, please do a tutorial on "smoke" effects!!! That looks so cool.
ReplyDeletebeautiful chalkboard! I love that you used yellow with it
ReplyDeleteIt is not chalkboard. It is created by using smoke from a lamp to create soot and stamping on that.
DeleteBeautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteI love the soot look.
We did some cards using this technique in a class I took a couple of years ago.
It's been a while since I've attempted it. And the last time their was supervision around. LOL
But I may have to give it a try again.
Hugs
